Rising Sun is a series of four books created by author Dylan Potter in 2012. They feature main characters Norah Heron, Leah Kanonov, and Bella Dickinson along with a selection of supporting characters.
The Premise[]
Rising Sun is set in a world intended to be happening at the same time as the one we are living in, with the addition of magic. The magic in Rising Sun does not need wands, but is not usable by individuals: Rather, it powers machines and weapons. Rising Sun is about a namesake organization that is currently fighting with Red Horse Group, likely named after the character Red Horse in the real book Grendel. Rising Sun's philosophy is leading with love, community, and positive emotions. Red Horse's philosophy is leading with fear, respect, and anger.
